On Saturday, 22 August, at 10:30 a.m., Museo Alto Garda will host a new Museo nella città event dedicated to the Madruzzo family and the Santa Maria dell’Inviolata complex in Riva del Garda, on the northern shore of Lake Garda. The itinerary will begin at Museo Alto Garda with a look at several paintings held in the Pinacoteca, before tracing the story of the family that helped shape the city’s artistic and cultural development.
The route will lead to the Madruzzo court and explore the history of the Inviolata church, one of the most important buildings in Riva del Garda. Built outside the city walls, the church has a sober, unadorned exterior that contrasts with the richness of its interior, distinguished by Baroque decoration.
The tour will be led by Luca Bertolini, who will guide participants in interpreting the artworks and the architectural complex, connecting the history of the Madruzzo family with that of the city.
Participation costs 3 euros, in addition to the admission ticket for Museo Alto Garda. The ticket also allows visitors to enter the museum during and after the event. No reservation is required.
