Peschiera: bar burglary, three young men arrested

The burglary took place late on 26 August at a bar in Peschiera del Garda. Three people strongly suspected of aggravated joint theft broke the glass front of a premises and took money. A resident raised the alarm after being woken by a loud noise and several shouts: he saw the three leave on foot and split up in an attempt to escape. Carabinieri from the Mobile Radio Unit and the local station intercepted and stopped them a few minutes later.
During a search, officers found 1,400 euros in cash on one of those detained. The money was traced to the bar and returned to its owner. The detainees are a 28-year-old Moroccan man already known to the authorities, a 26-year-old Moroccan man and a 21-year-old Algerian man, also already known to the authorities. None of them has a fixed residence in Italy. The Verona Court validated the arrests and imposed on all three a ban on residing in the Municipality of Verona and in the province, postponing the hearing until next September.
