“More Than Homework” comes to Calcinato: new afternoon service for primary schools
The Municipality of Calcinato will present “More Than Homework”, a new afternoon educational service for primary-school pupils, on Tuesday 8 September at 8.30pm.
On Tuesday 8 September at 8.30pm, in the municipal council chamber, the Municipality of Calcinato will present “More Than Homework”, a new afternoon educational service for primary-school pupils. The service will begin in September at the “G. Ferraboschi” school in Calcinato and the “M. Agosti” school in Calcinatello.
The project is designed to offer children quality time after school and help families balance work and family life. Afternoons will include recreational activities, themed workshops and a space for completing schoolwork, in an environment attentive to the children’s educational, relational and social needs.
The activities will be led by qualified educators. Pupils may remain at school until 4pm, 5pm or 5.30pm; the last option is available where both parents have documented work-related needs. Families may choose attendance on two, three or five days per week.
The service includes lunch and an afternoon snack, prepared in accordance with current regulations. Special diets will also be available for health reasons or ethical and religious requirements.
