The Trofeo Gargnano returns to Navazzo: Brescian spit-roast competition on 29 August

On Saturday 29 August from 7pm, the parish sports field in Navazzo di Gargnano, on Lake Garda, will host the sixth Trofeo Gargnano – Brescian Spit-Roast Competition. The evening is organised by Pro Loco Gargnano APS together with the Municipality of Gargnano, through its Department of Sport, Tourism and Commerce. The event will combine a food competition, music and local traditional products.

The event aims to promote spit-roast cooking, one of the most representative expressions of cuisine from the Brescia area, and confirms an initiative that has become a regular feature of Gargnano’s summer calendar. The Trofeo Gargnano will also provide an opportunity for residents, visitors and enthusiasts of traditional cuisine to meet.

“Spit-roast cooking is much more than a traditional dish: it is culture, conviviality and the memory of our area,” the organisers emphasise, explaining that the event is intended as an evening of celebration and sharing.

The competition will be accompanied by music and local food, in a setting designed to rediscover traditional flavours and spend a festive evening together.

Guests will have access to a large free car park on Via Monsignor Giacomo Tavernini, near the helicopter emergency service area and a short distance from the sports field. Further details are available from the Tourist Information Office and Pro Loco Gargnano.
