Alessandro Chincherini Golf Cup raises €51,690 for AMO Baldo Garda

The Alessandro Chincherini Golf Cup raised €51,690 for AMO Baldo Garda during the fifth edition of the memorial tournament, held on Saturday 29 August at Golf Ca’ degli Ulivi in Marciaga, near Lake Garda. One hundred golfers took part in a day devoted to sport, friendship and solidarity in memory of Alessandro Chincherini, who died in 2021.

The competition was played over the 18-hole course at Marciaga. The sporting event was followed by a terrace aperitif, dinner, live music, a lottery and a charity auction. The many guests who attended in addition to the players helped determine the final fundraising total.

The initiative was launched five years ago at the initiative of Luciano Chincherini, owner of Chincherini Holiday Group and Alessandro’s son. Since the first edition, the aim has been to donate all the money raised during the event to AMO Baldo Garda. Over time, the memorial has grown thanks to the involvement of friends, companies, suppliers, professionals and supporters.

A significant share of the total came from suppliers and professionals who work with Chincherini, as well as from goods donated for the auction and lottery and from the fees paid by participants for the competition and evening event.

“After my father passed away, I told my friends on my birthday: let’s do something for AMO. That’s how it all began,” Luciano Chincherini said, explaining that he wanted to turn the memory of his father into practical support for the local community.

The entire donation will go to AMO Baldo Garda, an association that has provided free home assistance to people with cancer and support for their families since 2003. President Ivan De Beni described the contribution as extraordinary and stressed the importance of the network of companies, suppliers, friends, players and supporters that enables the association to continue offering listening, assistance and closeness throughout the illness.
