The 2026 Jazz Festival returns to Lonato del Garda, on Lake Garda, from Friday 4 to Sunday 6 September. Three concerts will begin at 9 p.m. in the courtyard of Palazzo Zambelli, home to the municipal library. The fifth edition is dedicated to the national and international jazz scene, with free admission. The complete programme is available at lonatoturismo.it.

The opening evening will begin with the Giovani Emergenti project, featuring Sofia Polimeno on vocals, Francesco Assini on trumpet and Alessio Paglia on piano. All three are students of the academic jazz courses at the Rovigo Conservatory. Matteo Alfonso and Giovanni Maier will then present “Mingus Revisited”, a duo reinterpretation of nine pieces from Charles Mingus’s repertoire, with piano and double bass in an intimate chamber-music setting.

Saturday 5 September will feature the trio of Bebo Ferra, Dario Deidda and Jorge Rossy, pursuing a musical journey through tradition, improvisation and contemporary exploration. The repertoire will include several celebrated compositions by Bill Evans, alongside original pieces by Ferra, marked by Mediterranean influences and a strong narrative sensibility.

The festival will close on Sunday 6 September with Rita Marcotulli and the concert “Autoritratto”. The pianist will offer a musical journey built around original compositions, tributes to cinema and to Italian singer-songwriters, developed through solo piano and improvisation. The event will take place in the courtyard of Palazzo Zambelli, at 22 Via Zambelli.
