The Mart in Rovereto will host an event by Religion Today on Sunday 20 September, as part of the international travelling festival dedicated to dialogue between cinema and religions. From 3.00 p.m. in the museum’s conference room, a round table and two screenings will explore clothing as an element capable of revealing identity, origins and belonging.

This edition is entitled “Does the habit make the monk?”. The afternoon discussion, titled “Dressing the soul: clothing, cinema and the value of what we wear”, will examine the relationship between clothing, the construction of identity and its representation in film.

At 5.00 p.m., Mimmo Calopresti’s “Gianni Versace, l’imperatore dei sogni” will be screened. Made in 2023, the film runs for 110 minutes. It will be followed at 6.30 p.m. by Giuseppe Tornatore’s “Brunello, il visionario Garbato”, released in 2025, with a running time of 120 minutes.

Admission to the event is free. Religion Today is an international travelling festival dedicated to dialogue between cinema and religions, while the Rovereto event is organised in collaboration with the Mart.
