12-kilogram pike caught in the upper Lake Garda
A 12-kilogram pike: that was the weight of the fish caught a few evenings ago by Davide Bertoli in the upper part of Lake Garda, between Gargnano and Toscolano Maderno.
The pike weighed 12 kilograms and was caught by Davide Bertoli a few evenings ago in the upper part of Lake Garda, in the stretch between Gargnano and Toscolano Maderno. A keen angler, Bertoli described the fight as particularly demanding. He managed to bring the fish ashore with help from his friends Mattia Rossi and Gabriele Grigolon.
The catch is not the record for Lake Garda, which belongs to a 21.6-kilogram specimen measuring 145 centimetres, caught by Alberto Raina in Riva del Garda in 2016. At 12 kilograms, however, the pike remains an impressive fish and a catch shared by the three friends.
