Events taking place around Lake Garda from Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August bring markets, music, exhibitions, open-air cinema and family activities to towns along the lakeshore.
In Sirmione, the Friday Market continues on Via Colombare, offering hobbies, crafts, books and comics, model-making, gift items and art. The event is scheduled every Friday until 4 September.
At Forte di Nago, visitors can see “Display”, an exhibition curated by Fondazione Caritro and dedicated to the foundation’s art collection and its digital exploration. Admission is free; the exhibition remains open until 6 September, with different opening hours from Thursday to Saturday and on Sunday.
In Sirmione, Palazzo Callas hosts “Wound | Ferita”, the exhibition of the 2025 Premio Sirmione per la Fotografia. Until 27 September, it is open every day from 10.30am to 12.30pm and from 4.30pm to 7pm; on Fridays and Saturdays it also stays open in the evening until 10pm. It is closed on Mondays, except on public holidays.
At Gardaland Resort in Castelnuovo del Garda, “Minecraft Meet The Mobs” is also scheduled, running until 28 August.
In Brenzone sul Garda, in the hamlet of Castelletto, Piazza M.M.D. Mantovani hosts the Forte dei Marmi Market from 8am to 7pm. In the evening, Assenza hosts the Starlight Market, dedicated to crafts, art and music, from 6pm to 11pm.
In San Felice del Benaco, the exhibition “Carlo Acutis. Una semplicità straordinaria” opens at 6pm. It is set up at Sala Ex Monte di Pietà, Piazza Municipio 1, and runs until 13 September. The exhibition is open Monday to Friday from 2.30pm to 7pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays also from 9.30am to 1pm.
In Sirmione, Piazza Flaminia hosts an Akustic Matata concert from 8pm to 10.30pm as part of Sirmione’s music evenings.
In Brenzone sul Garda, Petra Magoni and Mauro Ottolini with the Trio Osaki perform at 9.15pm in Piazza Ferrari in Magugnano. Brenzone also hosts “Porto in Festa”, a traditional event at the harbour.
In Riva del Garda, the Mag presents “Piccoli esploratori: mondi a confronto”, a game-based journey following in Tarzan’s footsteps for children aged 5 to 11. The activity takes place at 2.30pm and 8.30pm, costs 6 euros per child and is free for accompanying adults. At 11am, the museum also presents the winner of the 12th Notte di Fiaba competition and the picture book created from the winning project. Booking on the event website is required.
In Sirmione, Piazza Carducci hosts Alida’s concert as part of the “Musica d’estate” series.
In Assenza di Brenzone sul Garda, “Armonie nel Tempo” is scheduled for 11.30am.
In Riva del Garda, the Mag continues the activity “Piccoli esploratori: mondi a confronto”, included in the family programme and the Notte di Fiaba.
In Sirmione, at Punta Grò, “Vertigo” will be screened free of charge at 9pm as part of the Films on the Beach open-air cinema series.
