The Tignale wildfire, which broke out in the Coste pine forest, has so far caused an estimated cost of at least €2.5 million for the community. The assessment, updated on the evening of 15 August and still provisional because operations had not yet ended, was prepared by Stefania Baronio, Aib coordinator for the Comunità Montana Parco Alto Garda Bresciano, together with the directors overseeing the firefighting operations. The calculation includes around €700,000 for seven Canadair aircraft used in 12 missions and €123,000 for the 3,500 flight minutes logged by regional helicopters.

On the ground, 120 firefighters and 290 volunteers from Aib teams took part. Costs are estimated at about €50,000 for the volunteers and €35,000 for the 11 deployments of the firefighting operation directors, in addition to logistical expenses for radios, fuel, food and equipment. The environmental damage affecting 60 hectares of burned woodland amounts to €1.2 million, taking into account restoration costs and the loss of ecosystem services, including hydrogeological protection and biodiversity.
