Croce Bianca Montichiari is organising a free theoretical and practical course on life-saving procedures in Montichiari, with the support of the town council. The course consists of two compulsory sessions: the theoretical part will take place on Thursday 17 September 2026 at 8:30 pm in the Town Hall council chamber, while the practical exercise is scheduled for Sunday 20 September at 9:00 am in Piazza Treccani. At the end, participants will receive the official BLSD certificate authorising them to perform life-saving procedures.
The course is recognised and authorised by AREU, the Regional Agency for Emergency and Urgent Care of Lombardy. During the first session, participants will learn the theoretical principles needed to respond in an emergency; the second day will focus on practical training. Attendance at both appointments is essential to obtain the certificate.
The initiative is open to the entire population and participation is free of charge, but places are limited and registration is compulsory. Minors aged 16 to under 18 require written authorisation from both parents.
As part of the town council’s support, the Municipality of Montichiari is making the council chamber available for the theoretical session. Rossana Gardoni, councillor for Social and Health Services, stressed the importance of acquiring knowledge useful to people of all ages and highlighted the role of Croce Bianca volunteers in urgent, emergency and secondary assistance services.
The course is also an opportunity to learn more about the association’s work, as an independent organisation for several years and an active presence in the Montichiari area.
