Desenzano beach cleared after a fight and illegal occupation

The cleared beach is located near Via Vò on the Desenzano del Garda shoreline, where the Carabinieri and State Police intervened at dawn after a fight.

The cleared beach is located near Via Vò on the shoreline of Desenzano del Garda, a town on Lake Garda. The Carabinieri and State Police intervened there at dawn after a fight that had taken place in the preceding days. The checks began following a report filed by a 26-year-old man, who said he had been struck in the face at the end of an argument. Two camping tents that had been set up illegally were found in the area, and five people aged between 25 and 39 were identified.

During the checks, a 39-year-old Romanian woman was reported for violating a mandatory departure order issued by the Municipality of Desenzano. A foreign national who had already been reported for irregular residence was taken to the Immigration Office of the Brescia Police Headquarters to begin deportation procedures. An Italian citizen with previous convictions was reported for violating orders imposed by the judicial authorities. Once the checks were completed, the municipality and the Local Police worked together to clear the state-owned area, removing the tents and temporary structures.
