A mountain-rescue operation in Salò on Lake Garda ended early on Sunday afternoon, 23 August 2026, after a woman was injured in the hills above the town, in the Corna area. The Valle Sabbia station of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue Service, V Brescia Delegation, attended the scene.
The team consisted of four technicians who were on active duty. They reached the woman and immobilised her. A mountain-rescue nurse was also involved, carrying a medical backpack for advanced care in difficult terrain.
The injured woman was initially carried away on a stretcher. The transfer then continued in an off-road vehicle as far as the ambulance, which arrived in Renzano, from where she was taken to hospital.
